About the Role
Join Bacar, the award-winning contemporary restaurant at Pullman Sydney Olympic Park, and become part of Accor’s world-class kitchen team. Working alongside talented chefs, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences across our restaurant, events, and hotel operations. Support daily kitchen operations, contributing to high-quality food preparation and service for various meal services and events. Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene, and presentation standards while ensuring section efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Assist with mise en place, stock rotation, and minimizing wastage.
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in line with brand standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment at all times.
- Support and guide junior team members, leading by example.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hotel or high-volume restaurant environment.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Creative culinary mind, up to date on local and international food trends.
- Ability to work closely with suppliers to source the best quality product.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends, nights, public holidays, and event days.
- Sound knowledge of food safety standards.
- Strong experience in à la carte dining and service.
