About the Role
Glamorgan Heating & Cooling is seeking motivated, experienced HVAC Installers and Lead Install Technicians who take pride in their workmanship and want to advance their careers. Responsibilities
- Install residential heating and cooling systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related equipment.
- Remove and replace existing HVAC equipment safely and efficiently.
- Install and modify ductwork, refrigerant lines, condensate piping, venting, and other system components.
- Perform proper system setup, testing, commissioning, and quality checks.
- Ensure installations meet applicable codes, manufacturer specifications, and company quality standards.
- Maintain clean, safe, organized job sites and respect customers' homes.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation process.
- Explain basic system operation, maintenance needs, and equipment features to customers.
- Work collaboratively with other installers, technicians, and management.
- Complete assigned installations efficiently while maintaining exceptional workmanship.
- Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development.
- For lead technicians, provide guidance, direction, and accountability to assigned installation team members.
Requirements
- Previous residential HVAC installation experience.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment, installation procedures, and applicable mechanical codes.
- Experience installing furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret installation instructions, equipment specifications, and technical diagrams.
- Ability to safely use HVAC installation tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Professional appearance and willingness to follow company dress code.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to participate in training and follow company installation procedures.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to perform the physical responsibilities of an HVAC installation position safely.
- Must maintain a clean, professional appearance, follow company uniform and dress code requirements, and represent Glamorgan Heating & Cooling positively at every job site.
- Must take pride in clean, organized, professional installations and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and respectfully with homeowners, teammates, and management.
- Must be personable, respectful, professional, and comfortable interacting with homeowners.
- Must be coachable, open to constructive feedback, and eager to continuously improve technical skills, productivity, and professional development.
- Must have experience with residential HVAC installations and demonstrate a strong understanding of installation procedures, system components, and industry best practices.
- Must be capable of working efficiently, staying organized, managing time effectively, and completing installations without sacrificing safety or quality.
- Must be reliable, punctual, self-motivated, and willing to take responsibility for assigned work and outcomes.
- Maintain a positive attitude, work well with others, and contribute to a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
