About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated, results-oriented Deal Desk Analyst to join our Finance organization. This role will be key in maximizing the value of New Relic products sold and the related revenue. The primary focus will be to help structure profitable and compliant transactions that address the needs of internal corporate customers, safeguard New Relic revenue, and increase the effectiveness and productivity of our sales teams.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and sustain strong working relationships with pivotal business partners (e.g., Finance, Legal, Support) to facilitate the review and approval process.
- Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., Legal, Finance, Product) focusing on complex pricing/commercial terms and provide options to Sales to address customer objections while maximizing revenue/bookings.
- Build and review a variety of order forms with differing levels of complexity for accuracy, ensuring all required approvals (discounts, contractual terms) are obtained and documented.
- Deliver ongoing education and training to ensure Sales’ understanding of and compliance with non-standard deal processes.
- Prepare and review contracts (order forms, legal agreements, customer purchase orders, quotes) for compliance with revenue recognition and Deal Desk policies.
- Safeguard and manage data quality in SFDC for all proposed and closed quotes/deals, ensuring transactions adhere to internal revenue recognition policies and operational guidelines.
Requirements
- 2+ years of Finance/Operations experience in a high-tech environment, preferably with order entry experience.
- Demonstrated capability to build strong working relationships with internal business units and across regions.
- Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Willingness to cover various time zones and work extra hours as needed.
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Criminal background check is required.
- Compliance with U.S. export controls and licensing requirements may be necessary for certain roles.
