About the Role
We are seeking a hard-working, innovative, detail-oriented, and creative team player to join our Aptive team as a full-time Pest Control Technician. This position is based on the road in the Syracuse, NY area, with office reporting once per week. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a team environment and excels working individually.
Responsibilities
- Running a daily route to resolve customer pest concerns and issues.
- Maintaining truck and equipment in proper working order.
- Keeping accurate records of treatments provided.
- Mixing, applying, and working with pesticides following state and federal laws.
- Serving as the subject matter expert for customers by implementing efficient pest solutions.
- Maintaining and servicing all route customers according to company standards and procedures.
- Advising customers of potential problems.
- Keeping management informed of any problems encountered on service routes.
- Maintaining proper inventory of pesticides in usage.
- Carrying a product backpack that weighs approximately 50 lbs.
Requirements
- Must hold a current commercial pesticide applicator license or certification for general pest control in the state where the work will be performed.
- A US driver’s license that has been valid for a minimum of 3 years is required.
- A clean driving record is required (no more than one moving violation in the past year and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 4 years).
- A drug test and background check will be performed on all new hires.
