About the Role
As the Jacques Marie Mage Senior Optician, reporting to the Gallery Director, you are a Licensed Optician and a reflection of the brand at the highest level of direct client engagement. The aim is to create an escape from the mundane and welcome clients into the unique and intentional world of Jacques Marie Mage. You will lead each client engagement with intention to best suit their medical requirements and needs, ensuring each client leaves our Galleries in awe, remembering the way we made them feel.
Responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets through consistent delivery of the Client Experience.
- Use storytelling to immerse clients in the unique and intentional world of JMM.
- Act with intention, going above and beyond to deliver the best client experience.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Fulfill, process, and communicate all orders to the external lab, ensuring we deliver on lead times.
- Execute flawless accuracy in taking and recording measurements, and in adjusting and fitting eyewear.
- Ensure best-in-class optical service and experience.
- Assist clients in choosing the best frames and lenses based on their prescription needs.
- Accurately assess and adjust all repairs for JMM frames.
- Consistently provide optical elevation, training, and support for the Gallery team.
- Ensure optical sales and benchmarks are met.
- Consistently achieve individual sales targets.
- Establish and maintain a strong client book (>30% appointments).
- Consistently achieve KPIs.
Requirements
- Licensed Dispensing Optician.
- Experience mounting and edging lenses.
- Experience buffing and polishing is a plus.
- 2–4 years of experience working in an optician environment.
- Extremely organized, with great attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work cross-functionally with the Lab, Customer Service, and other teams.
- Highly motivated and passionate about the JMM brand.
- Strong customer service skills (communicator and listener).
