About the Role
Own the design, delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of assigned services or feature areas. Deliver operational targets with significant impact on departmental results, resolve difficult problems through detailed analysis, and communicate technical information to ensure understanding across partner teams.
Responsibilities
- Own the design, delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of assigned data domains, pipelines, and data products.
- Conduct detailed analysis and investigation to resolve difficult data engineering problems involving related systems or disciplines.
- Build batch and streaming pipelines and implement stable data contracts, quality controls, lineage, and observability.
- Explain technical designs and recommended changes to engineering and data consumers, ensuring shared understanding.
- Provide technical guidance and training to associate and intermediate engineers; may delegate work and review work products.
- Operate assigned data products independently and seek leadership guidance for broader architectural or governance decisions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of data engineering experience.
- Experience with adjacent technical disciplines relevant to the assigned engineering area.
- Track record of providing training or technical guidance to other employees.
