Own the design, delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of assigned services or feature areas. Deliver operational targets with significant impact on departmental results, resolve difficult problems through detailed analysis, and communicate technical information to ensure understanding across partner teams.

Responsibilities

Own the design, delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of one or more services or feature areas within the assigned engineering domain.
Conduct detailed analysis and investigation to resolve difficult engineering problems involving related systems or disciplines.
Design APIs, data contracts, service boundaries, and event-driven integrations for assigned services.
Explain technical designs and recommended changes to engineering and cross-functional partners and ensure shared understanding.
Provide technical guidance and training to associate and intermediate engineers; may delegate work and review work products.
Operate assigned services independently and seek leadership guidance for decisions with broader architectural, financial, security, or organizational implications.

Requirements

5+ years of software engineering experience.
Production proficiency in modern programming languages.
Experience with microservices, REST, event-driven systems, data stores, streaming, cloud platforms, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Experience with adjacent technical disciplines relevant to the assigned engineering area.
Track record of providing training or technical guidance to other employees.
