About the Role

Altana is building an AI-powered product network to create a more resilient and secure global economy. The Engineering team is responsible for developing this platform, which is complex, AI-driven, and scales to a massive trove of data. This role involves a customer-centric, hypothesis-driven approach to product development, focusing on shipping adopted products and owning end-to-end outcomes.

Responsibilities

Spend real time with customers, observe their workflows, and translate learnings into product bets.
Partner with the product team to define product strategy and design experiments.
Take new product surfaces from conception to launch and drive adoption.
Build AI-native features using LLMs, agents, and other modern AI tooling.
Own end-to-end product outcomes, including architecture and instrumentation.
Set the technical bar for the team, ensuring quality, simplicity, and customer impact.
Mentor engineers in customer-centric and hypothesis-driven product development.
Drive technical decision-making with a bias toward shipping iterative designs.

Requirements

Deployed production code and services to cloud-hosted environments.
Demonstrated experience delivering incremental releases from proof-of-concept to MVP to production.
Self-starter with demonstrated experience working on large, complex problems.
Strong commitment to engineering excellence, clean code, and knowledge-sharing.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience leading other engineers on complex projects.
