About the Role
Traversal is building a superintelligent AI SRE. As a Product Manager, you will build the product on top of core AI agents, defining their behavior, actions, communication, and user interfaces. You will shape the product experience across web apps, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and APIs, ensuring a seamless user experience for engineers and SREs.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with customers, engineers, and AI researchers to define product strategy and roadmap, leading discovery with SREs, platform engineers, and incident responders.
- Build the product layer on top of core AI agents, considering the web app and headless surfaces (Slack, Microsoft Teams, MCP, and API).
- Iterate on agent prompts, run evaluations, and identify optimal outputs.
- Own features that make the product enterprise-ready, such as fine-grained access control and RBAC.
- Prototype ideas and present them for product reviews.
- Sequence rollouts, identify MVPs, and iterate based on user feedback.
- Collaborate with forward-deployed engineers during customer POVs to rapidly incorporate feedback into features.
- Incorporate ideas from the agent ecosystem and anticipate future agent capabilities.
- Shape the product function, including roadmap, process, and collaboration with the engineering team.
Requirements
- Approximately 5+ years of combined work experience in product management, engineering, or a similar role, with at least 2 years as a PM.
- Deep power user of AI agents with strong opinions on their effectiveness and an intuition for LLMs and agent behavior.
- Strong taste in UI design and headless experiences, with judgment on when to use each.
- Excellent writing skills for concise documentation, effective agent prompts, and clear customer communications.
- High agency: ability to take initiative, build and ship independently, and create structure.
- Exceptional customer interaction skills, credible with senior engineers at large enterprises.
- Hands-on experience building a product that is itself an AI agent (a strong plus).
- Side projects built with AI.
- 1-2+ years in a software engineering or SRE role.
- Experience helping a company transition from less structured to more structured environments.
- Early PM experience at a high-growth startup.
- Experience with data-heavy or enterprise SaaS products.
- Exposure to observability tooling, SRE workflows, or on-call environments.
