About the Role
The Buyer will analyze supply and demand, issue purchase orders, and monitor the order process to ensure timely shipping and receiving. This role involves planning and implementing sourcing and procurement strategies.
Responsibilities
- Analyze forecast data and execute purchase plan to ensure alignment of supply and demand.
- Identify and analyze potential issues to ensure demands are fulfilled.
- Maintain positive supplier relationships while negotiating to maximize company benefits.
- Collaborate with internal teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Maximize profit through the development and implementation of a strategic buying plan.
- Manage associate buyers.
- Develop strong product knowledge for production scheduling and quality management.
- Continuously strive to produce more visible, accurate, and timely schedules.
- Follow up with suppliers on production schedules, shipping schedules, pending claims, quality issues, and production capability issues.
- Provide shipping directions to suppliers and ensure timely product delivery.
