About the Role
EF Language Abroad is seeking dynamic, interactive, and energetic part-time ESL substitute teachers to join our education team. This role involves in-person teaching at our campus, utilizing EF's curriculum and methodology to lead engaging classes for students of varying ages and proficiency levels from around the world. The position offers ongoing professional development and support from our Academic Team.
Responsibilities
- Teach classes of 15-17 students of varying English proficiency.
- Utilize EF’s in-house curriculum and methodology to lead interactive and hands-on classes.
- Step into classes as needed, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
- Ensure continuity of instruction.
- Add personal flair to lesson plans to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Provide face-to-face and online training to ensure preparedness for the role.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Enthusiastic, energetic, and a natural leader in the classroom.
- Responsible, approachable, and friendly.
- Highly organized, flexible, and global-minded.
- 3 months of experience teaching ESL in a classroom setting with 15+ students (Preferred).
- Experience with standardized ESL exams, such as TOEFL, IELTS, and Cambridge (a plus).
