About the Role
The Custodial Lead is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas, providing work direction to custodial staff, and performing janitorial duties.
Responsibilities
- Perform janitorial duties
- Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
- Provide work direction and assistance to custodians
- Assist in scheduling and training staff
- Operate motorized cleaning equipment
- Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair
- Schedule clean up and repairs
- Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
- Track and maintain supply inventory
- Assist in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment
- Perform quality, service, and safety inspections
- Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
- Report employee personnel and customer issues to supervisor
- Monitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment and supplies
- Correct at-risk behavior and report to the supervisor immediately
- Provide recommendations for corrective action on areas needing improvement
Requirements
- High school diploma / GED required
- At least 1-year related experience
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification required
- Completed all safety and task training certification
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
Work Type
- Monday-Friday 6:00pm to 2:30am
Education Level
- High school diploma / GED
Salary/Compensations
- $18.50-$20.50 per hour
