About the Role
Deliver product to customers in a safe, professional, and courteous manner, including invoicing and collecting payments. Drivers are eligible for annual safety incentives.
Responsibilities
- Operate a vehicle and deliver assigned orders.
- Maintain vehicle condition by inspecting and logging requirements.
- Ensure safe vehicle operation and protect the load by complying with policies, rules, and regulations.
- Maintain the appearance of the delivery truck through daily cleaning.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Manage customer relationships, collect payments, and reconcile assigned loads.
- Properly invoice, collect signatures, and document all deliveries.
- Perform duties safely by following established rules and regulations.
- Collaborate with Salesmen and Merchandisers to exceed customer expectations.
- Properly deliver orders and put product away to company standards.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results.
- Conduct safe and responsible interactions with the public.
- Responsibly handle products.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to speak, write, and communicate in English.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a good record.
- Access to a reliable vehicle.
- Demonstrate good communication skills with high levels of professionalism.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team.
- Ability to pay attention to detail and meet deadlines.
- Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, team environment.
- Able to use a handcart and pallet jack.
