About the Role
This travel program offers a unique opportunity to work with a dedicated recruiter from start to finish, with both local and non-local positions available. Responsibilities
- Filling and dispensing of medication orders, including proper handling, usage, and storage of drugs in the Pharmacy.
- Maintaining standards set forth by the department and translating policies and procedures into daily operations.
- Acting as an information resource to patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy and drug-related information.
- Coordinating with medical staff and nursing to deliver quality and cost-effective drug therapies to patients.
- Participating in the hospital Antibiotic Stewardship Program with a focus on patient safety and public health.
- Demonstrating competency to provide pharmaceutical care to patients of all relevant age groups.
- Providing leadership in the absence of the Director as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree from a College/School of Pharmacy required.
- Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Pharmacist in the state of employment required.
- TPN experience required.
- Previous acute care experience required.
- Automated pharmacy dispensing.
- IV Laminar flow hood.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
- Current, valid and active BLS certifications from a Vibra Travels-approved vendor.
- Vibra follows federal and state requirements for vaccinations, vaccination offerings, and disease screening.
- Participating employers must display the E-Verify Participation and Department of Justice, Immigrant and Employee Rights Section (IER) Right to Work posters.
