About the Role
Sunstate Equipment Co. is seeking a skilled technician to perform maintenance and repair on construction equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This role offers opportunities for career growth and involves working both in a shop environment and occasionally in the field.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, service, and test equipment to ensure performance to manufacturer specifications.
- Perform routine service on equipment, including checking fluid levels, changing fluid, and lubricating.
- Perform novice level welding repairs (MIG & SMAW).
- Prepare and maintain accurate records on the maintenance and repair of equipment, including warranty records.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines, including Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems.
- Perform major and minor repairs on diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive trains.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
- Construction equipment rental background preferred.
- Must possess necessary tools valued at an average of $5,000+.
- Team-player attitude, working well with others to achieve goals.
- Self-starter and motivated to be successful.
