About the Role
Resorts World New York City strives to provide our guests with world-class gaming, exquisite dining, and unique entertainment experiences. We are looking to hire an enthusiastic and dedicated team of professionals.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the manager with all warehouse operations
- Receiving, storing, and distributing items in compliance with company rules and internal controls
- Assigning work and responsibilities, directing employees, scheduling, training, and developing the team
- Operating the warehouse when the Warehouse Manager is not available
- Managing team members and directing daily operations
- Exercising independent judgment in staffing, scheduling, performance management, and policy enforcement
- Serving as a representative of management
- Providing input into hiring, discipline, and other employment actions
- Scheduling, directing, supervising, training, and developing all warehouse staff
- Physically loading, unloading, transporting, and properly storing all items delivered and picked up
- Ensuring proper requisitioning and follow-up paperwork compliance
- Maintaining ongoing inventory on all items and alerting appropriate personnel of shortages
- Complying with all company policies, procedures, internal controls, and government regulations
- Maintaining a log of all incoming and outgoing merchandise
- Implementing and monitoring the requisition process and ensuring compliance throughout the department
- Verifying items being received, stored, and distributed against invoices and/or purchase orders
- Participating in the employee selection process, including hiring and interviewing
- Setting performance standards for tasks, jobs, and roles of employees
- Ensuring employees comply with health and food safety standards and regulations
- Investigating and resolving complaints regarding food quality or service
- Scheduling staff hours and assigning duties
- Disciplining employees and issuing corrective actions
- Providing outstanding customer and employee service
- Presenting a neat and clean appearance
- Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Possess a high school or equivalent diploma
- Ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to the applicable statute, rules, and regulations
- Ability to drive a forklift and other freight-moving equipment
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents
- Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests
- Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with or without a calculator
- Ability to decipher various reports and maintain reports upon request
- Must be able to interact with internal and external guests in a professional manner
- Must be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property
