About the Role
The Hotel Sales Manager leads sales efforts to grow revenue through room bookings, group reservations, and event space sales. This role identifies new business opportunities, nurtures client relationships, and coordinates with internal departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to increase hotel occupancy and event bookings.
- Identify new markets, build relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, and event planners.
- Prepare proposals, negotiate terms, and finalize contracts for group reservations, conferences, and special events.
- Work closely with revenue management, marketing, and operations to align sales strategies and ensure service delivery.
- Monitor performance metrics, analyze trends, and report on sales activities to hotel leadership.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to refine sales tactics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred; or two years related experience and/or training in a hotel / resort sales environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Occasionally required to stand; walk and sit.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
