About the Role
The Tax Help program at Foundation Communities is seeking enthusiastic individuals to provide high-quality tax return preparation at our tax sites. This role offers meaningful non-profit experience and makes a significant impact in the Austin community.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality customer service for clients calling in with questions
- Capture detailed notes for each client case and collect information as necessary to resolve issues
- Schedule appointments for clients
- Transfer calls to other Tax Help program departments as needed
- Protect client confidentiality
- Complete all specified paid training and tax certifications
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with technology and knowledge of computer operations and software
- Written and verbal proficiency in English and Spanish
- Requires sitting or standing at a desk for long periods of time indoors
- Requires eye and hand coordination for viewing of monitor screen along with high volume of keyboard use
