About the Role
As a Senior Spatial Designer at Sunst, you will develop and design brand spaces and immersive environments, translating brand identity into spatial systems, structures, installations, and objects. You will create three-dimensional environments that express contemporary culture and brand DNA, defining the design language of a project and ensuring it holds across scale.
Responsibilities
- Design spatial environments and objects with a strong aesthetic point of view
- Translate brand DNA into spatial expression, atmosphere and material language
- Shape form, proportion, rhythm and flow to create clear stylistic identity
- Develop spatial concepts that express attitude, culture and narrative
- Translate conceptual ideas into coherent spatial proposals with visual clarity
- Define material direction, surface logic and spatial composition
- Ensure consistency and aesthetic integrity across all spatial elements
- Balance realism and feasibility from a design-first perspective
- Work closely with producers and technical partners to ensure feasibility
- Understand construction logic and constraints
- Guide detailing and material decisions in collaboration with fabricators
- Maintain design intent throughout development and realization
- Communicate spatial intent clearly through sketches, references and 3D tools
- Present work with strong visual storytelling and conceptual clarity
- Support on-site implementation when required to safeguard design quality
- Ensure the built outcome reflects the original aesthetic vision
Requirements
- 4–6 years experience in spatial, architectural or experiential design
- Strong portfolio demonstrating spatial environments (retail, exhibitions, installations or brand environments)
- Confident in layout planning and construction logic
- Familiarity with using AI tools (e.g. Midjourney, ChatGPT, Runway, etc.) in creative processes
- Experience designing for lifestyle or sportswear brands
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of materiality and proportion
- Able to balance aesthetic ambition with feasibility
- Comfortable working closely with producers and fabricators
- Fluent in English (German a plus)
