About the Role
NEXTON is seeking an experienced UX/UI Designer to join an internal design studio within a major banking client, focusing on the digital transformation of the group's communication tools and channels. The role involves creating a coherent and polished interface while participating in UX design for user journeys within a demanding banking environment.
Responsibilities
- Design interfaces (mockups, high-fidelity prototypes) for websites and tools managed by the digital team.
- Evolve and maintain the existing UI kit, including components, styles, and usage documentation.
- Ensure visual consistency across various platforms such as intranets, corporate websites, and internal tools.
- Contribute to UX phases, including workshops, wireframes, user journeys, and testing.
- Prepare and support handoff to developers, and oversee visual quality assurance.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and business stakeholders to define requirements.
- Participate in design team rituals and share best practices.
Requirements
- Higher education (BAC+5) in interface design.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a UX/UI Designer (excluding internships) on digital products (web, applications, business tools).
- Significant experience in the banking, finance, or insurance sector.
- Previous experience working within a large banking or financial group, understanding its codes: governance, multiple validations, compliance and security constraints, and information-dense internal tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, including components and variants, component properties, auto-layout, variables, and shared libraries.
- Experience designing or evolving a UI kit or component library used by other designers or developers.
- High UI standards, including typography, grids, visual hierarchy, and component states/edge cases.
- Experience conducting concrete UX phases (journeys, wireframes, user testing), even if supporting a senior designer.
- Knowledge of digital accessibility principles (RGAA / WCAG) and their application in mockups.
- Experience working in a product team (PO, developers) and defending design choices to non-designer stakeholders.
