About the Role
As a Legal Collection Specialist (m/w/d) Debt Enforcement, you will independently manage our enforcement proceedings, from selecting the appropriate measure to its implementation. You will be the point of contact for courts, bailiffs, and lawyers, and will further develop our processes, including cross-border EU proceedings.
Responsibilities
- Consistently enforce claims.
- Independently manage debt enforcement measures, from deciding on the appropriate measure to its concrete implementation.
- Create and send enforcement orders via EGVP.
- Evaluate asset declarations and derive next steps.
- Process incoming mail from courts and bailiffs, ensuring timely handling.
- Manage communication with all parties involved in proceedings, from debtors to lawyers and bailiffs.
- Maintain meticulous records and claim accounts with a view to economically sensible further processing.
- Review claim accounts and identify optimization potential.
- Confidently and solution-orientedly handle objections and appeals during the proceedings.
- Focus on fast, effective enforcement, not just dunning.
- Actively contribute to the further development and digitalization of our enforcement processes.
- Participate in cross-border proceedings within the EU, expanding your professional horizon beyond the German market.
Requirements
- Completed commercial or legal training (e.g., legal assistant, bank clerk, office management clerk, or similar).
- Initial professional experience in a law firm, legal department, or in debt collection/claims management.
- Willingness to learn new topics.
- Meticulous and structured work approach.
- Ability to maintain an overview of numerous parallel processes and tight deadlines.
- Accuracy in legal documents is a prerequisite.
- Fluent German and proficient English (B2+).
- Openness to digital tools and interest in working with new technologies, including AI.
- Willingness to take responsibility, work independently, and actively contribute to shaping processes.
