About the Role
The Nurse Practitioner will work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to assess patient needs and provide direct patient care. This role involves direct oversight of contrast patients, ensuring all safety measures are met, and responding to potential contrast reactions. The position also offers guidance and support to team members to ensure patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Oversees and supervises contrast patients directly.
- Assures that all safety questions and measures have been taken.
- Communicates clearly and directly with technologists and patients.
- Recognizes and reacts to potential contrast reactions.
- Provides guidance and support to team members to assure patient safety.
- Works closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to assess patient needs.
- Provides direct care to patients.
- Reviews patient screening information to identify risk factors for contrast administration.
- Responds to and treats contrast reactions and medical emergencies in accordance with established protocols.
- Documents patient assessments, reactions, and interventions accurately.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Two plus years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner (or equivalent advanced practice provider), preferably in radiology, emergency, critical care or another acute-care setting.
- Experience recognizing and treating contrast reactions and responding to medical emergencies.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) and Microsoft Office systems.
- Adheres to Envision’s Code of Conduct and Compliance Policies and attends annual Compliance training as set forth by the Company.
