About the Role
We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our FP&A team, focusing on financial and operational analytics. This role involves management reporting, data analysis, dashboarding, data modeling, validation, and automation. You will collaborate with Finance and business teams to transform data into actionable insights, maintain existing dashboards and models, develop new analytical datasets, support budgeting and forecasting, investigate data discrepancies, and automate finance processes. This position is ideal for an early-career, technically proficient, and detail-oriented analyst comfortable with large transactional datasets, capable of understanding data generation, identifying issues, reconciling data, and translating business needs into analytical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Support financial and operational analytics across the business.
- Perform management reporting, data analysis, dashboarding, data modeling, validation, and automation.
- Turn transactional and operational data into reliable reporting and actionable insights.
- Maintain existing dashboards and data models.
- Develop new analytical datasets and reports.
- Support budgeting and forecasting.
- Investigate data discrepancies.
- Improve recurring finance processes through automation.
Requirements
- 0 - 2 years of relevant experience in data analytics, BI, finance analytics or a similar analytical role.
- Strong SQL skills, including experience working with joins, CTEs, aggregations, window functions and large transactional datasets.
- Strong Python skills for data analysis, transformation and automation, with experience using libraries such as pandas.
- Good understanding of data modelling concepts, including dataset grain, keys, joins, transformations and data quality.
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills, with the ability to independently perform financial and operational analysis.
- Experience building dashboards and reports using Tableau, Superset, Power BI, Looker or similar BI tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies, perform root-cause analysis and validate outputs across multiple data sources.
- Comfortable working with recurring financial and operational reporting, including trend analysis, variance analysis and management reporting.
- Ability to translate business requirements and commercial rules into structured, repeatable and testable analytical logic.
