About the Role
AIRoA is working to collect and prepare data for robot learning and to develop and make available general-purpose robot foundation models, with the aim of advancing the real-world deployment of Physical AI. We are seeking a Senior Manager who can draw on knowledge of data and AI to develop and execute strategies for the real-world deployment and international adoption of AIRoA’s foundation models and other R&D outputs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to promote the adoption and real-world use of AIRoA’s foundation models among AI companies, research institutions, and other organizations in Japan and overseas.
- Plan and drive projects to explore use cases, conduct proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives, and pursue business partnerships in support of these strategies.
- Oversee cross-functional projects, coordinate with stakeholders, and manage budgets, project progress, risks, and teams.
- Coordinate and deliver presentations and briefings to AIRoA’s executive leadership on these initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience planning and driving projects in AI training data quality management or data management (typically three or more years).
- Experience planning and driving projects related to the development and provision of LLMs, AI foundation models, or AI training datasets.
- Experience planning and driving AI system or service development projects in collaboration with companies or research institutions outside Japan.
- A basic technical understanding of robot learning, multimodal AI, or related fields, and the ability to engage in technical discussions with R&D teams.
- Professional experience in AI or robotics, or a strong interest in their impact on society, combined with a shared belief in the value of advancing these initiatives in Japan.
