About the Role
This role is responsible for delivering HCF's Line 2 Risk Assurance program, providing independent assurance that technology, data and AI risks are effectively identified, managed and controlled across the organisation. Leading assurance reviews across technology, data and AI risk domains, the position assesses control effectiveness, governance arrangements and compliance with regulatory obligations. Through practical, risk-based recommendations and trusted stakeholder engagement, the role provides independent challenge while supporting stronger risk outcomes across the business. As the Risk Assurance function continues to mature, this position will contribute to the development of assurance frameworks, methodologies and practices that strengthen risk management and support HCF's regulatory obligations. Operating across a diverse portfolio of assurance activities, the role offers the opportunity to influence emerging approaches to technology, data and AI risk assurance within a complex and highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver HCF's Line 2 Risk Assurance program.
- Provide independent assurance on technology, data, and AI risk management.
- Assess control effectiveness, governance arrangements, and compliance.
- Provide risk-based recommendations and engage stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of assurance frameworks, methodologies, and practices.
- Influence emerging approaches to technology, data, and AI risk assurance.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise across technology, data and AI risk management within a regulated environment.
- Experience in risk assurance, controls assurance, internal audit or a related risk discipline.
- Strong understanding of risk frameworks, governance processes and control assessment methodologies.
- Experience leading assurance reviews and providing independent risk insights and recommendations.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate complex findings into practical business outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Experience working with senior leaders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to deliver clear and meaningful assurance reporting.
