About the Role
The successful candidate will identify, underwrite, conduct due diligence, and manage UK real estate transactions to completion. This role involves leading UK real estate transactions with the potential to become Head of UK Real Estate Transactions.
Responsibilities
- Lead UK Acquisitions, identifying unique and appropriate pipeline.
- Manage the underwriting process and all components of deal execution.
- Work with the Research and Strategy team to identify emerging UK investment market trends and ensure client portfolios are appropriately positioned.
- Advise Portfolio Managers on sales strategies and manage sales through execution.
- Collaborate with Portfolio and Asset Managers to ensure delivery of objectives through the asset life-cycle.
- Oversee a team of two (Senior Analyst and Analyst) and contribute to their development.
- Take full responsibility for the preparation of detailed investment memos and presentation to the investment committee.
Requirements
- Deep market contact base and a track record of identifying, transacting, and overseeing business plan execution through the asset life cycle (buy and sell).
- Ability to identify risk in new and/or existing transactions and develop and implement mitigation strategies.
- Thorough understanding of the UK tax, legislative, and market framework, with experience gained through direct asset and SPV holding structures.
- Comprehensive understanding of property investment appraisal techniques.
- Strong Excel cashflow modelling skills.
- Effective communicator and negotiator with strong written and verbal skills.
- Ability to work and think independently and collaboratively.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Personable, responsive, and flexible.
- Highly numerate and inquisitive.
- Well organised.
- Ability to appreciate other cultures and working practices.
