About the Role
We are seeking a Production Manager to join our Production team, specializing in delivering high-quality technical production for live events. You will report to a Senior Production Manager and coordinate project delivery across various sectors.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Client Services, Project Managers, and Producers on quotes and pitches, ensuring technical and commercial feasibility.
- Support Client Services with solutions and ideas for efficient and profitable project delivery.
- Champion production excellence and ensure meticulous planning and delivery.
- Provide guidance and sign-off on estimated figures, event budgets, and production quotations.
- Act as an internal contact for Client Services, taking client briefs and qualifying new enquiries.
- Brief internal technical and scenic teams or external production suppliers on project elements.
- Oversee the physical delivery of medium to large-scale projects.
- Collaborate with Technical and Scenic Project Management teams to support project delivery.
- Serve as the primary client contact for projects managed directly by the Production Management Team, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Ensure timely, competitive, and accurate responses to Client Services across all project phases.
- Promote collaboration and process enhancement between creative, production, project, operations, logistics, and Client Services teams.
- Monitor project progress, ensure company processes are followed, and meet pre-production milestones.
- Support other members of the Production Management Team as needed.
- Conduct third-party production supplier research, vetting, and due diligence.
- Manage and oversee accurate and timely crewing and transport scheduling for projects.
- Reconcile project costs, ensure correct allocation, and communicate additional charges to stakeholders.
- Generate and manage Event Safety Plans, RAMS, plans, build schedules, and project packs.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in all responsibilities.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in a production-focused role within the live events industry.
- Team player with a flexible and enthusiastic approach.
- Natural leader with excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to drive project teams of internal and external stakeholders.
- Capacity to balance creative and analytical thinking, considering logistical, commercial, and creative aspects.
- Good working knowledge of lighting, audio, video, power, rigging, scenic, and graphics delivery.
- Experience with Vectorworks, AutoCAD, or similar software.
- Experience in a range of project types and sectors including live shows, large-scale conferences, private events, exhibitions, brand activations, and roadshows.
- Strong organizational skills and confidence in managing complex schedules.
- Good awareness of health and safety in pre-production and on-site phases.
- Ability to remain calm and resolve issues under pressure.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset are valued alongside experience.
