About the Role
We are seeking a Brazilian Portuguese Language Checker to ensure the linguistic accuracy and quality of translated game software. This role involves identifying and reporting linguistic errors, ensuring terminology consistency, and verifying adherence to console manufacturer guidelines. You will also suggest improvements to translations and confirm bug fixes in subsequent versions, participating in multiple cycles until game completion.
Responsibilities
- Perform Brazilian Portuguese language checks for translated game software.
- Identify and report spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors.
- Ensure terminology is unified according to the developer's localization policy.
- Confirm notation methods follow game console manufacturer guidelines.
- Evaluate translation quality in the context of the game's story and scenes.
- Clearly and concisely report errors in the bug database.
- Suggest more appropriate translations or wording.
- Ensure bugs are fixed and implemented correctly in the next version.
- Repeat the quality assurance cycle until the game is completed.
Requirements
- Native-level Brazilian-Portuguese proficiency.
- Fluent Japanese or English.
- Understanding of Brazilian culture.
- Attention to detail.
- Plays video games on a daily basis.
- Basic PC operation skills (Word/Excel).
- Currently residing in Japan with a valid working visa.
