About the Role

This role involves the preparation and operation of semi-automated and automated assembly equipment for electro-optical assemblies in a development environment. You will also perform manual assembly, repair, and mechanical characterization of these assemblies and components, as well as create and maintain technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Preparation and operation of semi-automated and automated assembly and interconnection equipment for the manufacture of electro-optical assemblies in a development environment
Manual activities related to the assembly, repair and preparation for repair of electro-optical assemblies
Mechanical characterization of electro-optical assemblies and components using modern measurement microscopy and destructive testing methods
Creation, preparation and maintenance of technical documentation

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a scientific or technical degree program, e.g. electrical engineering, electronics, microsystems engineering, process engineering, information and communications engineering, mechatronics or physics
Basic knowledge of microsystems engineering and assembly and interconnection technology used in electronics manufacturing
Technical aptitude and an interest in working with small and very small components and assemblies
Ability to learn quickly, combined with a careful and structured approach to work
Good working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Team player with flexibility and a reliable working style
Good English skills
German language skills at least at B2 level
