About the Role
We are seeking an experienced PR & Social Media Manager (part-time, 3 days/week) to redefine our external communications. You will develop and implement a PR and social media strategy, focusing on LinkedIn, trade press, and newsletters. You will translate complex technical and regulatory topics into understandable, credible, and visible content for clients, industry professionals, and potential applicants, working closely with management, sales, and technical teams with significant creative freedom and short decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop a PR and social media strategy including target groups, core messages, channels, tonality, and KPIs.
- Build and manage our LinkedIn presence, including an editorial calendar.
- Create content: posts, articles, press releases, newsletters, and mailings.
- Build and maintain relationships with trade and industry media in the KRITIS, energy, and IT sectors.
- Translate technical and regulatory developments into target-group-specific content in collaboration with subject matter experts.
- Participate in trade shows, events, video, and recruiting content in coordination with relevant departments.
- Monitor and report on activities, and continuously improve measures.
Requirements
- Conceptual thinking combined with strong writing and implementation skills.
- Ability to distill complex topics to their essence.
- Comfortable working with IT and critical infrastructure environments.
- Several years of professional experience in PR/corporate communications and social media management, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Experience in developing or advancing a communication or social media strategy and its operational implementation.
- Passion for communication and making topics and brands visible.
- Understanding of IT, network, and communication technology, as well as KRITIS, with a willingness to quickly learn new technical topics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
- Independent and structured work style with close team collaboration.
- Experience in communicating for IT, telecommunications, energy companies, or infrastructure operators is advantageous.
- Knowledge of NIS-2, KRITIS regulation, and cybersecurity is advantageous.
- An existing network of contacts with trade and industry media is advantageous.
