About the Role
As our Marketing Manager – Practice Areas, you’ll lead the strategy and own marketing for LEAP AU’s Practice Areas of Law. Practice Area marketing is a growing priority for LEAP AU, and you’ll build it into a real point of difference across six practice areas. A big part of the job is taking new releases to market: as each practice area ships apps and features, you’ll run the go-to-market that gets them in front of the right practitioners. Around that, you’ll own practice area positioning and drive the content, podcasts, CPD events and social that build LEAP’s voice in each field and turn awareness into real adoption of our solutions.
Responsibilities
- Work with each Practice Area team to understand what has been built, what is in progress and what is coming, and turn it into clear positioning and messaging.
- Own the ICP for each practice area, by practice type, buyer and the job each is hiring LEAP to do, so messaging reflects how practitioners actually think.
- Run the go-to-market for each new app and feature release: the launch plan, messaging, content and cross-team coordination that make a release land rather than quietly ship.
- Plan and prioritise across a rolling calendar rather than running six at once.
- Work with our practice area leads, each a practising lawyer, to produce credible content that holds up with a specialist audience: blog posts, practice guides, case notes, thought leadership and explainers that make LEAP’s AI suite make sense for that kind of work.
- Partner with our Visual Designers so each practice area has a distinct, cohesive identity and campaign assets that match the message.
- Build a program of CPD events, webinars and practice area events that give practitioners genuine professional value and move them from awareness to adoption.
- Lead LEAP’s presence at industry conferences, and help launch and grow a practice area podcast featuring our leads and respected practitioners.
- Turn launches, content, podcasts and events into social activity that reaches the right practitioners.
- Create the one-pagers, explainers and case studies sales and client-facing teams need, and work with sales on how they’re used.
- Support brand, campaign and lifecycle work across the team when the calendar calls for it, bringing a practice area lens to how LEAP shows up in market.
- Measure what’s working, from launch impact and content engagement to event attendance, podcast listenership, social reach and above all product adoption, and use those insights to sharpen what comes next.
- Decide where to focus first: which practice areas, channels and launches will make the biggest difference.
- Use AI in your own workflow for research, drafting and content production, with the judgement to know when its output is good enough and when it isn’t.
Requirements
- 7+ years in product marketing, content marketing or a broader B2B marketing role at a tech or SaaS company, with experience owning a product, segment or audience end to end.
- A track record of taking products or features to market, including launch planning, positioning, messaging and pulling the moving parts together across teams.
- Strong writing skills and the ability to learn a market quickly and write in its language, producing content that resonates with a specific professional audience.
- Breadth across content, podcasts, events, social, email and campaigns, with the judgement to pick the right channel for the job.
- Experience briefing and working with designers, product owners and developers, and confidence with senior stakeholders and subject-matter experts.
- Experience setting marketing strategy and mentoring others, with the credibility to step up as the function grows.
- Experience in legal tech, or in another regulated or professional-services market.
- Experience producing podcasts or running CPD-accredited programs for professional audiences.
- Familiarity with a CMS (we use Storyblok) and marketing automation such as Salesforce or Pardot.
