About the Role
This opportunity offers Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students currently in Year 10 the chance to earn money, gain workplace experience, and complete a nationally recognised qualification while still at school. As a School-Based Trainee with the NSW Government, you will work one day a week, gain practical skills, and build connections within the public sector.
Responsibilities
- Helping organise meetings and events
- Preparing documents, presentations and team resources
- Updating information in spreadsheets and databases
- Assisting with projects and team activities
- Managing emails and general administration tasks
- Using workplace programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
Requirements
- Currently in Year 10 and moving into Year 11 in 2027
- No previous work experience is required
