About the Role
As an MRI Technologist, you will perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions. You will prepare patients for scans, operate advanced MRI equipment, ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment, and accurately capture detailed anatomical images.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for scans.
- Operate advanced MRI equipment.
- Ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment.
- Accurately capture detailed anatomical images.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
- Performs procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist’s expectations and protocols.
- Displays knowledge and complies with the National Patient Safety goals.
- Supports and reports any identified compliance matters.
- Participates in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction.
- Maintains professional development and education for technical competency.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology, upon hire.
- Medical Radiographer: KY, upon hire.
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days.
- Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, within 12 months.
- Previous experience in MRI, upon hire.
