About the Role
Pulse is supporting a specialist school seeking two Speech and Language Therapists (Band 7 and Band 5/6) to join their multidisciplinary team. These roles offer the chance to make a meaningful difference to children and young people with speech, language, and communication needs within a specialist educational environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage a complex caseload of children and young people with communication needs.
- Deliver specialist assessments and evidence-based interventions.
- Provide clinical leadership and professional guidance to colleagues.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with families, education staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Support the development of communication-friendly learning environments.
- Assess and support children and young people with speech, language, and communication difficulties.
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions.
- Work closely with teaching staff, families, and other professionals.
- Monitor progress and provide recommendations to support positive outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and reports.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Current HCPC registration.
- Experience working with children and young people with speech, language, and communication needs.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
- Previous senior-level experience and leadership capabilities are desirable for the Band 7 position.
