About the Role

Join Axon and be a Force for Good. At Axon, we’re on a mission to Protect Life. We’re explorers, pursuing society’s most critical safety and justice issues with our ecosystem of devices and cloud software. Life at Axon is fast-paced, challenging and meaningful. Here, you’ll take ownership and drive real change. Constantly grow as you work hard for a mission that matters at a company where you matter.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the tax data mart in Snowflake, managing SQL logic, table joins, and data promotion, and define a clear data strategy for tax reporting.
  • Build and maintain reporting layers ensuring data accuracy and consistency between source systems (D365, Salesforce, Vertex O Series) and Sigma dashboards.
  • Own systems integration across the tax technology stack, including D365, Salesforce, Vertex O Series, Sigma, and Snowflake, ensuring clean data flow.
  • Lead e-invoicing enablement and related system configuration.
  • Support Vertex O Series administration, including configuration and migration.
  • Leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve workflows, documentation, research, and team productivity.
  • Support reporting, testing, documentation, and change management for tax technology initiatives, including Alteryx workflows.
  • Serve as a partner across Tax, Finance, IT, and Business Systems, building relationships and understanding team needs.
  • Translate business and tax requirements into technical solutions, and technical constraints into actionable terms for stakeholders.
  • Bring project management discipline to cross-functional initiatives with unclear or shifting requirements.
  • Support global tax operations across a complex international environment spanning manufacturing and SaaS business models.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, systems/business analysis, tax technology, or finance technology.
  • Intermediate-to-advanced SQL, including schema awareness, joins, and troubleshooting data pipeline issues.
  • Experience building or maintaining a data mart or reporting layer, ideally in Snowflake.
  • Sigma or similar BI tool experience (dashboard development, administration, or both).
  • Systems integration knowledge across ERP/CRM/tax platforms (D365, Salesforce, Vertex O Series, or similar).
  • E-invoicing experience is ideal but trainable.
  • Alteryx experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, or similar tools — active usage preferred.
  • Complementary experience across the broader tax/finance tech stack rather than deep expertise in any single system.
  • Working knowledge of sales order-to-cash processes and tax calculation concepts; sales/indirect tax experience is ideal.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills in a fast-paced organization.
  • A dynamic, self-directed team player with the aptitude to quickly learn new software, tax rules, and legislation.
  • Systems architecture and problem-solving mindset.
