About the Role
As a Staff Product Designer at Peregrine, you will help set the design direction for how public safety teams work with data. You will have opportunities to see Peregrine in the field and bring those insights back to shape the roadmap. You'll partner with Design, Engineering, and Product leadership to define the digital renaissance of public safety and transform complex, data-dense workflows into intuitive solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead ambitious design initiatives from problem definition through launch to deliver a well-executed and highly polished product.
- Elevate design critiques with the Design and Leadership teams.
- Partner with leadership to define the product strategy and craft a compelling narrative.
- Mentor other designers and help grow the Design discipline.
- Shape our design systems, asset library, and the practices that define how we work.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience leading the design of complex software products with a focus on user experience.
- Exceptional interaction design, visual design, and design thinking skills.
- Ability to articulate your thought process to peers and executives.
- Ability to excel in a fast-moving, sometimes unstructured environment.
- Experience mentoring designers and influencing beyond your immediate team.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Sketch and Origami.
- A strong portfolio of design work that conveys craft and the ability to lead and ship successful products.
- Located in the San Francisco or New York area and open to working in office.
