About the Role
As a Senior UI Designer at AKQA, you will be instrumental in the strategy, conception, and design of innovative digital products and services. You will apply exceptional creative thinking and craft to deliver projects from initial brief to final user experience, setting the visual standard for the team.
Responsibilities
- Create visually exceptional digital interfaces, including websites, apps, and products, with outstanding typography, layout, color, and motion sensibility.
- Lead design in pitches, transforming rough ideas into persuasive, polished concepts and presenting them confidently.
- Build and maintain design systems, including Figma components, variables, and tokens.
- Create compelling visual content and utilize AI image generation tools with strong art direction.
- Translate brand direction into distinctive mood boards, style guides, and polished digital work, overseeing the process through tech handover.
- Present design work confidently to stakeholders and build trusting relationships.
- Deliver projects on time, on budget, and to the highest quality.
- Collaborate closely with UX, strategy, and the wider product design team.
- Share knowledge across Experience Design and AKQA, and mentor mid-level and junior designers.
- Stay current on design and technology trends, bringing new thinking into your work.
Requirements
- 4+ years within a dedicated digital design role.
- Proven track record of designing beautiful, intuitive digital products.
- Proficient in user-centered design methodologies and design thinking.
- Strong communication skills.

- Prototyping tools (Principle, Framer, Protopie or similar)
- Motion design (desirable)
