About the Role

This role is within WPP Media, where you will be instrumental in strengthening data governance and ensuring trusted, consistent, and well-defined data across Colgate’s global operations. You’ll manage assigned data domains, maintain data dictionaries, document metadata and taxonomies, and clarify how data connects across systems. You’ll partner with data, reporting, analytics, and technology teams to translate governance standards into practical day-to-day processes. You’ll support a global client environment spanning 96 markets and multiple Colgate categories, including oral care, home care, and pet nutrition. You’ll serve as a trusted point of contact for data definitions, sources, schemas, and usage, helping teams access and apply data with confidence. This is an opportunity to shape the operational foundation that enables effective reporting, analytics, and media activation for a leading global consumer packaged goods organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned data domains and maintain clear, accurate, and accessible definitions for data assets, attributes, and relationships.
  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries, metadata documentation, taxonomies, and related governance materials.
  • Establish and document data lineage across source systems, transformation processes, and reporting or analytics platforms.
  • Apply data governance standards that improve data quality, consistency, usability, and trust across Colgate’s global markets.
  • Map relationships between data domains and explain schemas, dependencies, and connections to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Partner with the Colgate Palmolive data stewardship team to align governance practices across complementary data domains.
  • Collaborate with reporting, analytics, data, technology, and investment teams to support effective data deployment and usage.
  • Work with Claravine to support consistent naming conventions across media data and related systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data documentation, workflows, processes, and stakeholder access.
  • Support data quality reviews and help resolve inconsistencies as data moves into reporting and analytics environments.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in data governance, data stewardship, data operations, data quality, or a related discipline.
  • Experience managing data dictionaries, metadata, taxonomies, schemas, and data lineage documentation.
  • Strong understanding of data mapping and maintaining consistency across multiple data sources and systems.
  • Experience working with Domo, Power BI, and Datorama.
  • Experience with Snowflake and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience with Salesforce, including Salesforce Data Cloud (SFDC) and Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large, complex data sets.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to creating clear, reliable documentation.
  • Ability to explain data definitions, relationships, and governance standards to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience with Claravine is preferred.
  • Experience supporting media data, data deployment, or transformation processes is a plus.
  • Experience working with consumer packaged goods data or across global, multi-market organizations is a bonus.
