About the Role
Circle is seeking a Senior Director of Product Finance to partner strategically with the Product organization. This role involves shaping how Circle evaluates, prioritizes, and invests in new product lines, offering a unique opportunity at the intersection of finance and product.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the embedded strategic finance partner to the Chief Product Officer and product leadership team.
- Own the financial evaluation of new product lines and launches from concept through post-launch.
- Partner with product leadership and strategic finance to build business cases, unit-economics models, pricing frameworks, and revenue projections.
- Support financial planning for the Product organization, including annual plan, quarterly forecasting, and long-range modeling.
- Advise on investment trade-offs and resource allocation across the product portfolio.
- Drive scenario analysis, sensitivity modeling, and market sizing to support capital allocation discussions.
- Conduct competitive benchmarking and market analysis to inform product investment theses.
- Partner with corporate development and strategic finance on M&A diligence or new market entries.
- Prepare and present compelling financial narratives that communicate product strategy with financial clarity.
- Develop financial performance dashboards and executive reporting for new and emerging product lines.
- Lead variance analysis with clear, actionable commentary for senior leadership.
- Build and scale the Product Finance function.
- Establish repeatable financial processes and frameworks to facilitate product team access to insights.
Requirements
- 13+ years of progressive experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, or management consulting.
- Demonstrated track record as an embedded finance business partner with experience influencing roadmap and investment decisions at the C-suite level.
- Experience building financial models and business cases for new product launches, including 0→1 products and new market entries.
- Strong command of unit economics, revenue modeling, and scenario analysis.
- Background in digital assets, payments, fintech or tech is preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distill complex financial analysis into clear, actionable narratives for both financial and non-financial audiences.
- Ability to present to the CFO or Chief Product Officer.
- A “roll-up-your-sleeves” mindset.
