About the Role
The Activities Coordinator will plan and organize activities to support residents' social, intellectual, and spiritual well-being. This role involves facilitating individual and group activities, promoting resident interests, and delivering physical, psychological, and social care.
Responsibilities
- Build friendships with residents to help them adjust to care home life.
- Deliver a high level of personal and psychological care professionally.
- Maintain communication with management, senior staff, and relatives for smooth operations.
- Support team working within the home.
- Complete required records to a satisfactory standard, agreeing on record-keeping with the manager monthly.
- Safeguard individual rights of residents and staff in accordance with the Home's philosophy of care.
- Maintain client, staff, and business confidentiality at all times.
- Plan daytime and evening activities.
- Maintain awareness of Health and Safety requirements.
- Coordinate the activities program with other facility services.
- Assess resident needs and develop resident activities goals for the written care plan.
- Encourage resident participation in activities and document outcomes.
- Provide backup for all staff, working individually and within the team.
- Maintain high levels of communication within staff teams, with colleagues, and residents.
- Carry out any additional duties as requested.
- Undertake additional training and development programs as appropriate.
