About the Role
MAGIC AI is seeking a creative, fast-moving Social-First Videographer to create engaging video content for Instagram, TikTok, Meta ads, Web, and brand campaigns. This role involves hands-on filming and editing, understanding social media platform nuances, and potentially appearing on camera as a brand ambassador.
Responsibilities
- Film and edit short-form, social-first content for organic and paid media.
- Work from creative briefs, scripts, references, and shot lists, bringing creative ideas.
- Appear on camera when needed, acting as a brand ambassador.
- Shoot product-focused content featuring the MAGIC AI Mirror, instructors, customers, creators, and team members.
- Support studio shoots, capturing workouts, new classes, launches, and social-first content.
- Collaborate on paid social ads, shooting and editing performance-focused creative.
- Create variations of footage for testing across paid social.
- Capture strong B-roll, multiple angles, and alternative hooks for repurposing.
- Create content for product launches, fitness classes, campaigns, interviews, testimonials, behind-the-scenes, and reactive social moments.
- Edit with social performance in mind, focusing on strong first 3 seconds, quick pacing, clear storytelling, and engaging visual changes.
- Frame and shoot specifically for vertical 9:16 content.
- Ensure the product is shown clearly and naturally, including interface, tracking technology, equipment, and LED features.
- Work collaboratively with the Brand & Social Manager, responding to feedback and iterating quickly.
- Continuously improve the visual style of MAGIC AI across social.
Requirements
- Understand the difference between organic and paid social media.
- Know the difference between a beautifully shot brand film and a Reel or TikTok that captures attention.
- Own your own camera equipment.
- Possess strong filming and editing skills.
- Have experience creating short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and paid social.
- Have a strong understanding of hooks, pacing, retention, and social storytelling.
- Be confident shooting people who are not professional models or presenters.
- Have a good eye for composition, lighting, and interesting camera angles.
- Be able to turn one shoot into multiple pieces of usable content.
- Have experience working quickly and adapting based on feedback.
- Be confident bringing your own ideas rather than simply executing a shot list.
- Understand current social trends and how brands can use them authentically.
- Experience with fitness, lifestyle, tech, or consumer brands is a bonus.
- Be curious, proactive, and excited to experiment with content.
- Live on TikTok and Instagram, understand video performance, and enjoy turning ideas into engaging content.
- Send examples of social-first work, especially Reels, TikToks, and paid social creatives, rather than a traditional showreel.
