About the Role
As an Outside Food Sales Representative, you will cultivate relationships, develop new business, and provide innovative solutions to our customers, helping them to achieve their goals and, in return, yours!
Responsibilities
- Pursue new customers by researching industry and market trends, identifying and researching prospective customers, and developing and presenting sales strategies.
- Deepen and strengthen existing customer relationships by conducting regular visits, performing business reviews, and providing product training.
- Manage sales territory by balancing new customer acquisition with existing customer relationship management and coordinating customer visits.
- Communicate order status and processing updates to customers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Bachelor's degree and/or culinary certificate preferred.
- 1 year of prior sales, business, or food service experience.
- Maintain a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record.
- Ability to obtain food safety certification.
- Must provide a letter of support from management if currently employed by a Gordon Food Service customer.
