About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our independent workshop team in Wimbledon. You will execute heavy mechanical work including clutches, timing belts, and EcoBoost wet belts, diagnose complex mechanical & electrical faults, carry out routine servicing across various makes and models, and collaborate with the team to maintain high quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Execute heavy mechanical work including clutches, timing belts, and EcoBoost wet belts
- Diagnose complex mechanical & electrical faults
- Carry out routine servicing across various makes and models
- Collaborate with the team to maintain high quality standards
- Perform heavy mechanical repairs (clutches, timing belts, EcoBoost wet belt replacements)
- Conduct diagnostic fault-finding
- Perform routine servicing
- Carry out preventative maintenance
- Track jobs digitally using job cards
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent)
- Proven track record handling clutches, timing belts, and wet belt systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Own hand tools
- Active MOT Tester licence or F-Gas certification is preferred, but not required
- Strong diagnostic problem-solving skills
- Pride in quality mechanical workmanship
