About the Role
This position provides an opportunity to work on social impact and sustainability campaigns for major corporations, non-profits and global foundations, advancing social good through integrated communications and marketing. The ideal candidate will have a strong media relations background and experience in the CSR or nonprofit space.
Responsibilities
- Intensive media pitching
- Securing consistent media coverage across a wide range of sustainability, business, environmental trade, consumer, and news publications
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with press and executive client contacts
- Developing assets (Press Releases, Pitches, Fact Sheets, Media Briefings, etc.) that will pique media interest
- Admin and reporting for clients
- Actively participating in team brainstorms and staff meetings
- Contributing to thought leadership strategy/writing
- New business presentations
- Assisting with client management/counsel
Requirements
- Strong media contacts
- Proven track record securing national media placements
- Experience in client relations
- Excellent writing skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience working in a fast-paced agency environment
- Ability to balance multiple clients and deadlines
- Solid understanding of CSR and broader sustainability landscape
- Develop opportunistic client storyline recommendations and communication strategy surrounding them
