About the Role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead electronic hardware design from concept to production, working alongside our cofounder/CTO. This role involves owning product development, including requirements, schematic capture, PCB layout, fabrication, testing, and QA, and is ideal for an engineer passionate about advancing electronics in the AI era.

Responsibilities

  • Drive schematic capture and lead PCB layout, including component selection, footprints, and BOM management.
  • Develop and perform circuit simulation and analysis (e.g. SPICE), covering power, signal integrity, timing, and thermal considerations.
  • Design power supplies, sensor interfaces, communication interfaces (I²C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet, etc.), and microcontroller/processor subsystems.
  • Bring up and debug prototypes in the lab using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other bench equipment.
  • Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, verification, and test engineers throughout the development cycle.
  • Prepare design documentation, review packages, and support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and cost reduction efforts.
  • Support compliance activities (EMC/EMI, safety, regulatory) as designs mature.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in EE or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on electronic circuit and PCB design experience.
  • Proficiency with a schematic / PCB design tool (e.g. Altium, Cadence, KiCad, etc).
  • Solid grounding in analog and digital fundamentals, power electronics, and high-speed design concepts.
  • Comfortable debugging hardware at the bench with standard lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc).
