About the Role
We are seeking a Group Lead to manage deployment teams responsible for bringing enterprise AI solutions into production across Germany and Austria. Reporting to the Field CTO, you will lead 10-14 Deployment Strategists and Forward Deployed Engineers across multiple pods, overseeing 3-6 enterprise deployments concurrently. Your role involves owning delivery outcomes, fostering team development, engaging with customers, and making critical technical decisions.
Responsibilities
- Own deployment outcomes, driving speed to production, quality, and customer value.
- Resolve critical challenges as the first senior escalation point.
- Identify and mitigate risks in deployments to ensure delivery progress.
- Lead and develop people, including performance management, coaching, and hiring.
- Scale successful practices by sharing knowledge and encouraging reusable solutions.
- Shape new deployments by partnering with sales to define scope and plans.
- Partner with sales to qualify opportunities and define realistic scope, delivery plans, and resource requirements.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience shipping software or deploying solutions within customer environments.
- Experience leading engineers or strategists, either as a formal manager or player-coach.
- Technical judgment to challenge deployment plans and guide teams through difficult decisions.
- Credibility with senior enterprise stakeholders, including CIOs and department heads.
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to make decisions with incomplete information.
- German language proficiency at C1 level or above.
- Fluent English.
- Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites.
