About the Role

Mesmerize, a segment of MJH Life Sciences and a leader in out-of-home and point-of-care advertising, is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to support its transit and large format production operation and its digital point-of-care network. This role owns the full lifecycle of vehicle wrap and large format production and supports the design and versioning of static and video content for healthcare waiting room and exam room screens. The work is technical, deadline-driven, and detail-intensive, requiring a production specialist with ownership and a systematic approach.

Responsibilities

  • Design and produce vehicle wraps for transit, including full and partial bus wraps, kings, queens, tails, and window perf, built on transit authority or vendor templates and accounting for vehicle specifics.
  • Own incoming art from intake through release: confirm files are print-ready, troubleshoot, rebuild, and repair client-supplied artwork.
  • Preflight in Acrobat Pro, resolving issues like missing fonts and links, insufficient resolution, and stray spot channels; prepare files to vendor specifications.
  • Build and scale artwork for large format output, working at percentage scale from vendor templates and dielines.
  • Package and deliver artwork to print vendors, read and build to their specs, respond to file kickbacks, and confirm corrections.
  • Create mock-up designs and print-ready designs, perform image retouching, and create spec sheets and templates.
  • Design and adapt content for digital screens in healthcare waiting rooms and exam rooms, working to exact device specifications.
  • Edit, resize, and version video for the point-of-care network, assembling simple pieces with correct export settings and audio levels.
  • Adapt client and source material into patient-appropriate content using plain language.
  • Use AI tools as a standard part of the production workflow for retouching, generative fill, background removal, upscaling, vectorization, spec checking, and repetitive production steps.
  • Proof and QA every deliverable before it ships, against the request, brand guidelines, and vendor or device specification.
  • File and archive finished work to the team's naming, folder, and tagging conventions.
  • Coordinate with production, design, and account teams on brand, technical, and timeline requirements, and flag recurring bottlenecks or opportunities to improve intake and fulfillment.

Requirements

  • Five or more years in production art or design for out-of-home or large format, including hands-on vehicle wrap work.
  • Experience with vehicle and bus wrap production: building on vehicle templates, working at percentage scale, tiling and panel output, window perf, and preparing files to installer specifications.
  • Working knowledge of print production: resolution, color, bleed, trapping, and file preparation to a printer's spec sheet.
  • Comfortable reading a vendor spec sheet and building to it.
  • Portfolio required; include at least one vehicle wrap and at least one before-and-after example of repairing or rebuilding a client-supplied file; screen or video work welcome.
  • Candidates should be prepared to discuss how they currently use AI in their production or design work.
  • Ability to effectively leverage AI to improve speed, quality, and output is an expectation in this role.
