About the Role
Ozanam Hall Nursing Home of Queens, a faith-based, nonprofit facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide care to residents in a skilled geriatric setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct resident rounds daily, reporting problems to nursing supervisor and initiating corrective action.
- Observe residents under treatment to identify progress and medication side-effects.
- Monitor resident condition, including fluid intake and output, and document in patient charts.
- Provide emotional and psychological support to residents.
- Communicate with residents' families or friends to provide advice, comfort, and instructions.
Requirements
- Current LPN licensure in the State of New York.
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a long-term care setting or a new graduate with a desire to learn.
- Knowledge of DOH/CMS regulations and Electronic Health Records preferred.

- $36.76 to $39.69 per hour
- Additional 10% for evening and night shifts
