About the Role

Responsibilities
- Build and ship data pipelines from ingestion to storage for near-real-time and batch workloads.
- Build Python services and APIs for other teams and products.
- Work with operational databases, focusing on schema design, reliability, and performance.
- Build tests, monitoring, and data quality checks.
- Maintain a large data warehouse for speed, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Own undefined data problems from conception to production.
Requirements
- Strong Python and SQL skills, with AI tool usage and output verification.
- Demonstrated engineering depth through a degree, internships, open-source work, a thesis, or a self-built system.
- Hands-on experience with databases like PostgreSQL or MongoDB, including schema design, indexes, and performance under load.
- Ability to tackle vague problems independently and drive them to completion.
- Focus on reliability and rigorous debugging.
