About the Role
This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial accounting processes, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounts. You will also be involved in payment transactions, open item monitoring, account reconciliation, and master data maintenance. The position requires active participation in building and developing financial structures within a growing company, supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, and contributing to the digitalization of accounting processes using modern tools and AI-based solutions. Collaboration with internal teams and tax advisors is essential.
Responsibilities
- Take independent responsibility for ongoing financial accounting (accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger accounts)
- Process payment transactions and monitor open items
- Reconcile accounts and maintain master data
- Work confidently with DATEV and optimize existing processes
- Actively participate in the setup and further development of financial structures in a growing environment
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings
- Contribute to the digitalization of processes in the accounting area
- Utilize modern tools and AI-based solutions to make workflows more efficient
- Work closely with internal teams and tax advisors
Requirements
- Completed commercial apprenticeship with a focus on financial accounting or training as a tax assistant (m/f/d)
- Several years of professional experience in financial accounting
- Very good user knowledge of DATEV accounting software
- High affinity for AI tools and process optimization
- Experience in setting up and optimizing processes, ideally in a scale-up or rapidly growing company with a shared service approach
- Fluent German language skills, minimum C1 level
